Abstract of
Technology in Literacy Poetry on the Screen
Linda D. Labbo
Can a classroom computer be made to behave in poetic ways? What is the difference between poetry encountered on the page and on the screen? Can educators use computers to create poetry experiences that make us and our students laugh or cry or wonder or turn the page (or link to another screen) until we find a poem that sings the tune we wish to hear? The author explores all these issues and makes practical suggestions for using technology to enhance the love of poetry.
