Building Effective Practice: Using Small Discoveries to Enhance Literacy Learning

full text - PDF

In this article, the author connects some of her classroom discoveries and reflections—made during 10 years of action research—to educational literature, and encourages other teachers to reflect on, articulate, and communicate about their own discoveries. This way, “best practice” can be shared, and teachers can reach the heart of teaching—engaging students in real learning.
