ReadWriteThink.org is a partner site of the Thinkfinity program, produced in collaboration with the National Council of Teachers of English. We welcome submissions of lesson plans for peer review. Lessons should be of interest to teachers involved in literacy education of students from kindergarten through high school. Submission and Peer ReviewReadWriteThink.org now requires all authors to submit a proposal to the editors before writing a full lesson plan. You should plan to submit your full lesson plan within 68 weeks of receiving approval on your proposal. Information regarding proposal and lesson plan guidelines is available to the right. Both the proposal and full lesson plan should be submitted through IRAs Manuscript Central online submission site. Proceed as follows:
All submissions must be available as an electronic file—for example, a word-processed document prepared with any common software package. Please read the information for authors carefully, since lessons that do not conform to these guidelines will not be reviewed. Proposals are reviewed by staff editors, while full lesson plans are sent to peer reviewers for evaluation. If the reviewers recommend that your lesson not be accepted, it will be returned to you with comments to consider should you decide to revise and resubmit. Our in-house editors evaluate and edit all lessons that are accepted by the peer reviewers. The edited version will be sent back to you for review and revision. Authors of accepted lessons receive a stipend of US$150 upon publication; a bonus plan for those lesson writers who agree to submit lessons on an ongoing basis and within a predetermined period of time is also available. If you have any questions about how to write or submit a lesson for ReadWriteThink.org, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your interest in the ReadWriteThink project, and good luck with your lesson writing! |
