Abstract of
Saying the “P” Word: Nine Guidelines for Exemplary Phonics Instruction
Steven A. Stahl
The author asserts that high-quality phonics instruction should be part of all beginning reading programs, and advocates that it be integrated with reading and writing actual texts and build on children's experiences with texts.
