ILA Council/Affiliate and Rotary Club Partnerships

What's New

Rotary clubs and ILA councils have a long history of literacy collaboration. The 2014 Pearson Foundation-ILA-Rotary Literacy Project Award of $2500 was given to two literacy projects jointly undertaken by a Rotary club and an ILA council or affiliate. This award has been discontinued, but we hope that ILA councils will continue to reach out to local Rotary club partners to improve literacy in innovative ways.

The 2014 awardees:

  • The Butterfly Story Project, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands
  • Book Mobile Project, Ellensburg, Washington

Read about these winners on page 16 of the September/October 2014 issue of Reading Today.
