RIF seeks support

by Annie Enchakattu | Feb 25, 2011
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the largest and oldest children and family literacy nonprofit in the United States, is one of the organizations threatened with loss of federal funding as the result of proposed federal budget cuts. "Without this federal funding, over 4.4 million children and families would not receive free books or reading encouragement from RIF programs at nearly 17,000 locations throughout the U.S.," notes RIF president and CEO Carol H. Rasco on the RIF website. Click here to read Rasco's full letter and learn more about RIF's activities.
