Consequences may change for failing to meet class size requirements

Lawmakers are considering changing the way they punish school districts that fail to meet class-size requirements in Florida. 

The state Senate Education Appropriations Committee is contemplating a bill that would alter some class-size requirements, imposing them on fewer classroom subjects, for instance, and giving districts more flexibility on exceeding the limits after an annual count in October.
