Striving Readers program seeks peer reviewers

by Annie Enchakattu | Feb 16, 2011

The U.S. Department of Education (ED) seeks reviewers for the Fiscal Year 2011 competition for the Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy (SRCL) program. SRCL is a $200 million grant program to advance literacy skills, including pre-literacy skills, reading, and writing, for students from birth through grade 12. Funds will be used to award grants to states to support competitive subgrants to local education agencies or other eligible entities.

Reviwers will work individually and on a panel with other reviewers to independently evaluate and score approximately five, 50-page SRCL applications based on the criteria established by the U.S. Department of Education. To learn more, visit this webpage. Applications must be submitted by March 4, 2011.
