A national research report on teachers’ media usage indicates an insufficient capacity of computing devices and technology infrastructure to handle teachers’ Internet-dependent instructional activity. “Deepening Commitment: Teachers Increasingly Rely on Media and Technology,” released by PBS and Grumwald Associates LLC, is based on an August 2010 national online survey reflecting the views of 1,401 full-time classroom teachers (1,204 K-12 public school teachers and 197 pre-K teachers in public and private schools). The sample was selected to represent teachers in urban, suburban and rural regions and in districts of all sizes. To access the full report, visit the PBS Teachers website.
