That’s one big book

by Annie Enchakattu | Jan 31, 2011

The University of Iowa Libraries has a new book in its collection -- a 100-volume, 10,000-page, 2-feet-thick book of poetry.

The book, Poetry City Marathon, written by Iowa City poet Dave Morice of Dr. Alphabet fame, is the culmination of a 100-day poetry marathon this summer. The final product is 10,119 pages, which was bound in a single volume by Bill Voss of the UI Libraries Preservation Department. To learn more about the process behind creating the colossal book, read the full article by Stephanie Wise at the Press-Citizen website.
