James Patterson launches Book Dollars for Scholars program

Bestselling author James Patterson’s Book Dollars for Scholars program supports college-bound high school students. Patterson will be giving away 56 gift certificates ranging from $250 to $5,000, redeemable at IndieBound affiliated independent bookstores. The contest is open to high school seniors and consists of one essay question: “How has your favorite book inspired you toward what you’d like to do in life?” Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2010. Students must visit this website to fill out the application.
