James Patterson launches Book Dollars for Scholars program

Bestselling author James Patterson’s Book Dollars for Scholars program supports college-bound high school students. Patterson will be giving away 56 gift certificates ranging from $250 to $5,000, redeemable at IndieBound affiliated independent bookstores. The contest is open to high school seniors and consists of one essay question: “How has your favorite book inspired you toward what you’d like to do in life?” Applications will be accepted through December 31, 2010.
