Indiana University’s (IU) School of education has received a $749,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The grant has been given in order for the school to create a teacher education curriculum supporting problem-based learning (PBL).

The program, called "PBL-TECH: Using Web 2.0 Tools and Resources to Support Problem-Based Curricular Innovations in Pre-Service Teacher Education," will partner IU with the Auburn University College of Education and the College of Education at New Mexico State University over the next three years.

The project's goal is to increase new teachers' ability to use the latest technology with problem-based learning techniques, while establishing the latest teaching innovations in the programs and then disseminating those resources and strategies in different parts of the United States.
