USBBY issues call for award nominations

The United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY) announces a call for nominations for the Alida Cutts USBBY Lifetime Membership Award. This award, given in honor of Alida Cutts, longtime USBBY Executive Secretary, provides a lifetime membership in USBBY and is presented to an individual who has given extraordinary service to USBBY over many years. Past recipients of this award are: Alida Cutts, Mary Lou White, Joan Glazer, Katherine Paterson, and Anne Pellowski.

The next award will be presented at the banquet during the 2011 IBBY Regional Conference in Fresno, California. The deadline for submission of nominations (name and contact information of nominee and paragraph providing reasons to support the nomination) is November 5, 2010. Submit nominations to: Barbara A.
