Here's one more great reason to go to the National Book Festival in Washington, D.C., September 23: The Library of Congress will launch "Gateway to Knowledge," a traveling exhibition that will bring facsimiles of many of its top treasures and resources to America's heartland during the next year. Housed in an 18-wheeler, the exhibit will initially travel to various schools, libraries, community centers, and other public venues in Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, with the ultimate goal of visiting up to 60 sites across the midwest and south. The exhibit will include programming especially for teachers and students and provide relevant and engaging learning experiences for lifelong learners. Read more at the Library of Congress website.
