Scholastic launches global literacy campaign

by Annie Enchakattu | Sep 10, 2010
“Read Every Day. Lead a Better Life.” That’s what Scholastic is calling a global literacy campaign marking its 90th anniversary this year. At the core of the campaign is the Scholastic Reading Bill of Rights, eight "beliefs" that affirm every child's right to read and what that means in the 21st century–from access to books and great stories to the ability to analyze, interpret, and understand information in the digital age. Scholastic is inviting everyone–parents, teachers, librarians, and kids–to join the campaign and read every day. For more information and tips, visit this Scholastic webpage.
