Green Eggs and Ham now half a century old

by Annie Enchakattu | Aug 16, 2010

This year, a book made specifically for children grows up.

2010 marks the 50th anniversary of the classic Dr. Seuss picture book, Green Eggs and Ham. Seuss' veritable cultural icon was honored on ABC World News on Friday, August 13.

"Dr. Seuss' genius insight was that kids will be educated, if they're also entertained," ABC reported.

Even though the book has been revered for its lasting legacy, Seuss wrote the book using only 50 words. For links to more on Green Eggs and Ham, visit The Huffington Post online or see a video of the Reverend Jesse Jackson reading the book on YouTube.
