In support of IRA’s Strategic Direction to promote literacy worldwide by giving educators across North America and international affiliates around the globe access to high-quality, research-based professional development, IRA is partnering with Academic Travel Abroad (ATA) to lead a Literacy and Reading Education Delegation to Israel this October. Former IRA Board member Taffy E. Raphael has been named to lead the delegation.
The IRA Literacy and Reading Education Delegation will depart for Tel Aviv on October 23, 2010, and will return on October 31. While in Israel, delegates will visit schools, meet with educators, participate in social events, and experience the rich culture of Israel. The program includes visits to Tel Aviv, Haifa, Tiberias, and Jerusalem.
