Information for Project Organizers Seeking Partners

Project organizers are invited to submit details of their projects for inclusion in our listing for sponsors seeking partners. In this way, IRA council leaders will consider your project when they are looking over the list for a good match.

To be eligible for listing in IRA’s International Projects area, a project must be sponsored, supported, or nominated by an IRA council, affiliate, committee, or similar group; or by another internationally recognized charitable organization active in the field of literacy.

To have your project listed on this website, please complete this online questionnaire opens new window. Once partners have found each other, it is each group’s responsibility to inform IRA opens new window so that website listings can be updated.

Successful partnerships are a two-way street. Project organizers have a great deal to contribute in expertise and the ability to do wonderful work with resources that are frequently very limited. Sponsors can contribute funds or materials, but many projects also send representatives in both directions: For example, a group from a North American council might travel to your location to get to know you, share expertise, and see first hand the progress of the project; partners (often sponsored) may travel to North America to share what they know or to describe the exciting things that have occurred as a result of the partnership.
