Subcommittee on Media Awards

Charges:

  1. Actively seek nominations for the Broadcast Media Awards for Television and for the Print Media Awards based on award criteria.

  2. Review applications for three categories of the Television Awards: (a) television programming for children; (b) television programming for adults; and (c) public service announcements. These awards recognize outstanding professional reporting and programming on television and cable television on the topic of literacy.

  3. Review applications for the Print Media Awards which recognize excellent professional reporting in newspapers, magazines, and wire services on the topic of literacy.

  4. Recommend television programs and print articles in all categories providing supporting data to the Board of Directors by January 25, 2008.
