Students learn how to write by writing—and writing often. But, to get students going, you need to loosen them up with enjoyable, interesting writing activities.

This first section of Going Bohemian: How to Teach Writing Like You Mean It, presents six engaging, hands-on activities to get students practicing new, fun writing techniques. Activities such as Performance Art Poetry, Modeling Prose With Ernie and Jane, The 128-Word Sentence, and Secrets give students opportunities to see models of good writing, then write their own pieces.
