Call for Manuscripts

The Reading Teacher welcomes submission of manuscripts for peer review. In particular, Robert B. Cooter Jr. and J. Helen Perkins invite manuscripts for two themed issues to be published in 2010:

  1. "Urban Literacy: Research-Based Solutions for City Kids" is scheduled for early 2010. Deadline for submissions is May 1, 2009.
  2. "Reading in Grades 4–6: Focus on Expository Reading" is scheduled for fall 2010. Deadline for submissions is February 1, 2010.

Manuscripts must provide an appropriate blend of practical classroom application and solid theoretical framework and must appeal to RT's broad audience of classroom teachers, literacy consultants, coaches, university faculty, preservice teachers, and policymakers. All manuscripts will be subject to peer review with no guarantee of acceptance.
